20-23 June 1985
120 delegates from 65 Associations and Movements met in Rocca di Papa, Italy, 20-23 June 1985 to consider and comment on the theme of the upcoming Synod of Bishops in 1987: “Vocation and Mission of the Laity in the Church and in the world”. ICCRO was represented by Fr. Fio Mascarenhas SJ, Hervé-Marie Catta, and Claude Lopez.
The first stage of reflection in the workshops was devoted to examining the theological and ecclesiological foundations of the vocation of Laity.
The second stage permitted an exchange of experiences concerning the participation of the Laity in the life of the Church and of society.
