A one-week in-depth training on the exercise of charisms

ICCRS Charism School (ICS)

These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. They will pick up serpents [with their hands], and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18

“To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit.” 1 Corinthians 12:7

Nature

An in-depth training on the exercise of charisms is proving to be a necessity today to help those who commit themselves to acquire the good notions and information on each charism in order to exercise it as the Lord wishes in fidelity to the Magisterium of the Church. This training is practical so that the participants do not leave their heads full, but that they have the opportunity to do practical exercises that will be for them a reference in their parishes, diocese and country.

We pray that participants will become witnesses among others and guides for the exercise of charisms to serve an effective evangelization.

The school includes Mass, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (silent adoration), and charismatic praise and worship on a daily basis, as well as excellent teachings, dynamic workshops, personal prayer and empowerment.

Why an ICS??

The exercise of charisms is part of the normal life of every Christian. The opposite is an anomaly. This anomaly took precedence over the normal situation for several centuries when the use of charismatic gifts was found only with some saints. Since Christians have neglected the place of the Holy Spirit in their lives, it goes without saying that the actions of the Holy Spirit are also absent in their lives.

But the Lord wants His children to be alive in the Spirit and act in His name through signs that should normally accompany the proclamation of the Gospel. The Charismatic Renewal is an awareness that leads the Christian to let the Holy Spirit enter into his life to sanctify and act through him. The grace of Renewal is accompanied by the exercise of charisms.

It takes available Christians who have received the gifts to go to those who suffer and bring them the peace of God through healing and liberation.

At the same time, it is urgent that those who have received these gifts for the good of the community let themselves be led by the Holy Spirit and act in the righteousness of the Spirit.

Mission

The training on the exercise of charisms pursues specific objectives:

Objectives

  • To bring each participant to an inner disposition for the exercise of the charisms.
  • To help participants gain a deeper knowledge of each of the most important charisms in the daily life of the Church.
  • To help each participant have a practical experience of each of the charisms through exercises.
  • To identify and correct mistakes often made in the exercise of charisms.

Vision

Our vision is to prepare committed disciples for Jesus. This takes disciples filled with the Holy Spirit who proclaim the word of God with assurance in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our vision is that their proclamation be followed by signs as Jesus wanted.

The exercise of charisms is not an option. It is an integral part of our life as followers of Christ. It is important to train Christians in the use of charisms for the good of the Church and for the mission of proclaiming the gospel.
