As we approach the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Golden Jubilee in 2017, ICCRS and Catholic Fraternity, in response to the invitation of Pope Francis, are organizing an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church that started during the “Duquesne Weekend” on February 17-19, 1967.
In the hope of welcoming to Rome all those who, in this new current of grace, wish to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we ask you to please take note of the following:
- Dates of the event: Starting Wednesday May 31st there will be various celebrations happening in several locations in Rome leading to the Pentecost Eucharistic celebration on Sunday June 4th.
- Opening of registration: Registration for the event will start as of June 2016. Please visit our website for updates on : www.ccrgoldenjubilee2017.org
- Possible celebrations: Youth festival, special gatherings for Theologians, Charismatic Communities, Schools of Evangelization, Ecumenical forum, opportunities to gather for praise and worship, adoration and evangelization. Plus a series of workshops on various CCR topics offered.
- Places of event: The Jubilee event will not be limited to one specific location. The celebrations will take place in a variety of venues depending on the number of participants that each venue can accommodate.
- Accommodation: The event is NON-RESIDENTIAL. However, ICCRS and the Catholic Fraternity will offer a limited number of optional accommodation in Religious Houses and Hotels. Please check later for information on the cost. As there will be a limited number of rooms offered, the allocation will be done on the basis of “First registered, first served”.
